About
Dr. Poltak is a board-certified, fellowship-trained anesthesiologist with 15 years of clinical experience. He graduated from Georgetown University School of Medicine in 2009, and after completing a residency in anesthesiology, he completed a fellowship in Cardiothoracic Anesthesiology in 2014 from Massachusetts General Hospital. Dr. Poltak has particular clinical interest in ultrasound, and is board-certified in transesophageal echocardiography. He also served for 6 years on the National Board of Echocardiographers Board Exam Writing Committee. Professionally, he served as the Director of Intraoperative Echocardiography at Maine Medical Center for multiple years and was the Director of Cardiac Anesthesia from 2018-2023. Dr. Poltak has served as an associate professor of anesthesiology at Tuft’s University School of Medicine and has published multiple peer-reviewed articles in both cardiac and regional anesthesia. Dr. Poltak lives in Cape Elizabeth, Maine with his wife and three children. In his free time he enjoys oil painting, gardening and spending time with his family. He believes in preserving his clients natural beauty and amplifying their self confidence through subtle yet meaningful changes.
