To her patients, Brittany Haley, RN, BSN is more than a registered nurse aesthetician, she is their skin's best friend. As a Certified Aesthetic Nurse Specialist, Brittany performs laser resurfacing and injectables with expert care and precision. Trained with over 30 different laser platforms, Brittany helps patients live more confidently by erasing bothersome scars, lesions, and pigmentation irregularities, removing unwanted hair, and restoring a clearer, healthier appearance to their skin. It is clear that Brittany appreciates the difference that her services can make for her patients, from those who can wear shorts again because laser hair removal treatments have eliminated life-long torments with infected and ingrown hairs, to younger patients who are no longer teased at school for vascular lesions on their face and former sun-worshippers who can show their chest again because it no longer makes them appear twice their age. I am so thankful to have a found a career in which I can help patients restore their confidence and sense of well-being while developing my passion for medical science and innovative cosmetic treatments. Fear no age spots or wrinkles… I’ve always been drawn to medicine, but it was my own fear of aging that led me to aesthetics—I’ve been doing preventative BOTOX since I was 22. I’m a big believer in a preventative approach for my patients as well. I always recommend trying the most conservative option first. I believe physical signs of aging can be gracefully delayed with our current non-surgical tools. Sometimes the results even surprise me! Not only skin-deep I’m a geek when it comes to laser treatments—I’m certified in more than 30 different lasers—but what I love most is seeing my patients feel better about themselves, or their procedures being even more successful than I thought they would be… I once removed a cherry angioma from an 8-year-old boy’s nose; his parents came to me because he was teased at school as the “Rudolph.” He was so happy to have the spot gone. A regular at Aladdin Cafe I love Mediterranean food, and Aladdin Cafe has the best in San Diego, in my opinion. Fabulous baklava. Multi-tasking mom Spare time is very rare for me, but you’ll find me playing with my baby boy and little girl or working out. I also love to cook as well as study (and taste!) wine. What is on your lifetime to-do list? Although I was born in San Diego and I’ve never lived anywhere else, I love to travel. It’s my goal to visit every major wine region in the world. South America is next on my list. What Does Brittany Offer at La Jolla Cosmetic Medical Spa? Brittany has experience in over 30 laser platforms as an Aesthetic Registered Nurse and is highly experienced in treating different skin colors and ethnicities. She performs the following at our La Jolla Cosmetic Medical Spa: Always a high achiever, Brittany has quickly made a name for herself as an Aesthetic Registered Nurse. In addition to earning her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of San Diego, Brittany has additional specialization as a Certified Aesthetic Nurse Specialist. She has worked in Cosmetic dermatology and plastic surgery clinics throughout the area for the past seven years. Brittany also works as a clinical educator for the prestigious Sciton lasers, in which she leads clinical training for new and experienced users on the advanced platforms that Sciton lasers offers. These include our BBL, HALO, and laser resurfacing treatments. As with all of our doctors, nurses, and staff at La Jolla Cosmetic Medical Spa, Brittany says her patients are her number one priority. She has a gift for making each patient feel like her only patient, always taking the time to make sure all questions are answered and needs are met. Her ability to coordinate and work as a team with both our plastic surgery and skincare staff makes her a perfect addition to the LJC family. I learned the value of an outstanding work ethic, integrity, and a positive attitude through my early work experiences. To this day, I continue to appreciate how those values have shaped my life and practice as a nurse.
