I attended The Ohio State University where I received a Bachelor of Science degree in Human Nutrition and Exercise Science. I went on to attend The University of Cincinnati obtaining a Bachelor of Science in Nursing to become a Registered Nurse. My nursing experience includes pediatric and adult ICU care where I was blessed with the opportunity to travel to several cities throughout the United States. During this time I continued my education, graduating from The University of Cincinnati with a Masters in the Science of Nursing to become a Certified Nurse Practitioner. I have had the pleasure of training under one of the top doctors, Mona Foad, in the field of medical and aesthetic dermatology. At MONA Dermatology I have the opportunity to practice my passion for skin care where we believe healthy skin is beautiful skin. My goal is to help you put your best self forward starting with skin exams, preventative care as well as anti-aging and cosmetic treatments. I joined MONA Dermatology as a registered nurse following graduation from the University of Cincinnati in 2019. In 2021, I began providing the cosmetic services of body contouring, facials, microneedling, and laser hair removal treatments to our patients while going back to school. In 2023, I earned my master’s degree and became a Board-Certified Nurse Practitioner to be able to provide for patients in the medical setting after extensive training under the expertise of Dr. Mona Foad. It has been an honor to begin and expand my professional career here with this incredible team of ladies. I graduated from the University of Cincinnati in 2019 with my Bachelors of Science degree in nursing. After working two years as a dermatology nurse, I decided to continue with my pursuit of furthering my education as my passion in diagnostics grew. I graduated from the University of Cincinnati’s Master of Science in nursing, Family Nurse Practitioner program in 2023. I enjoyed this program because it provided me with experience in the treatment of patients of all ages across the lifespan. I earned my board certification from the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners shortly after graduation. I was born in Roanoke, Virginia and spent my early childhood years there before moving to Dallas, Texas. My family moved to Columbus, Ohio at the start of my high school experience. Cincinnati became my home once I decided to pursue higher education at The University of Cincinnati, where I have completed both my undergraduate and graduate degrees (therefore I am a HUGE Bearcat fan). I currently live with my long term boyfriend and our two sweet kitties, Isla & Calvin. Dr. Alexandra Bowles attended the University of Cincinnati for her undergraduate studies where she earned a bachelor of science in biology, with a minor in bioethics. She then attended medical school at Ohio University before completing her dermatology residency in Miami, Florida where she trained with some of the best medical and cosmetic dermatologists in the nation. While in residency, Dr. Bowles served as co-chief resident and chief of cosmetic training. Dr. Bowles grew up in West Union, Ohio, about an hour southeast of Cincinnati. After residency, she moved back to Cincinnati and married her medical school sweetheart, Yousef, who practices pediatric anesthesiology at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital. They have two adorable cats, Poppie and Toga. She is so happy to be back in Cincinnati with her family and to be providing dermatologic care to the patients of southeast Ohio. “I feel so blessed to practice dermatology in the area I grew up. In 2021, I ultimately decided to shift my focus to dermatology and joined the Mona Dermatology team, where I worked as a Registered Nurse for 2.5 years. I then earned my Masters of Science in Nursing and became a Certified Nurse Practitioner. I am excited to continue in a new role at our office and join our amazing team of cosmetic and medical providers, who I am also fortunate to have as mentors. I am a member of the American Association of Nurse practitioners (AANP). I graduated with my Bachelors in Science of Nursing from Kettering College. After starting at Mona Dermatology as a nurse, I decided I wanted to continue my education and career in dermatology and returned to Northern Kentucky University to get my Masters of Science in Nursing to become a Certified Nurse Practitioner. I am proud to call myself a Cincy native! On the weekends, my husband Maxwell and I like to frequent new restaurants. In the summer, Findlay Market is also one of our favorite spots on a Sunday morning! We love to do anything that involves being outside and in our community. Upon graduation I moved to Asheville, North Carolina and worked in several specialties including Trauma Surgery/Plastics. It was through this clinical background and my own personal patient experience that I cultivated a special interest and passion in the field of general and cosmetic dermatology. My husband and I moved back to our home state of Ohio after the birth of our first child, and it has been a pleasure to work with Dr. Mona at MONA Dermatology! I feel fortunate to work with one of the top medical and aesthetic practices. My clinical interests include skin cancer management, dermatologic surgery and cosmetics.
